Let’s look into the thought process behind the Posters.
Sishya Fête is the annual carnival of Sishya, bringing together students, parents, teachers and the wider school community through games, food, entertainment and activities.
For the 2024 edition, I was asked to develop the visual identity and event communication based on three themes provided by the client.

Three Themes. Three Visual Interpretations.
Creative Directions
The client provided three themes for the Fête. I explored each theme and translated it into a distinct visual direction for the event.
01 - Reroot
A colourful, nature-inspired direction that brings the Fête into an imagined outdoor world. The concept uses plants, playful characters, games and carnival elements to create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.

02 - Coachella
Inspired by the energy and visual language of music festivals, this direction reimagines the Sishya Fête as a vibrant festival experience. Bold colours, music, speakers, tropical elements and a central festival-inspired vehicle come together to create a youthful and energetic identity.
03 - India Stories
A visual celebration of India, drawing from its culture, traditions, music and colourful visual language. The direction brings together familiar Indian motifs and festive elements to create a sense of celebration and nostalgia.
The Selected Direction
Coachella
The Coachella direction was selected to take forward for the 2024 Fête.
The idea was then developed further into a complete visual system for the event, exploring different compositions, layouts and applications while keeping the spirit of Madras at its core.
Final Poster
After exploring the different variations, the final poster brought together the coachella and Music-inspired elements.
